Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 October 2026

1. Hello

These terms cover Cubit, our website at uma.games, the Cubit web game and the Cubit iPad app (together, "Cubit"). Cubit is made by Uma Labs Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13516735), at 724 Holloway Road, Archway, London N19 3JD ("we", "us").

By using Cubit, you agree to these terms. If you are a parent or guardian, you agree to them for yourself and on behalf of your child.

2. Grown-ups first

Cubit is made for children aged 6 and up, and their families. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must read these terms with you and agree to them. If your child is under 13, a parent or guardian must set up or approve their account.

Parents are responsible for their child's use of Cubit, including who they invite to play.

3. Cubit is in beta

Cubit is an early test version. This means:

  • things may break, change or disappear without notice;
  • we may reset worlds, projects or accounts while we fix things, and we cannot promise your creations will be kept;
  • we may pause or end the beta, or your access to it, at any time.

The beta is free. We will tell you clearly, and ask you to agree to new terms, before anything changes that.

4. Your account

Please keep your login details safe and do not share your account. Tell us at hello@uma.games if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.

5. Playing nicely

Cubit is a calm, friendly place. When you play, please do not:

  • be unkind, bully, or upset other players;
  • put rude, scary or hurtful words or builds into names, worlds or templates;
  • share personal information, like your real name, address, school or phone number;
  • cheat, hack, copy or break the game, or try to get into parts of it you are not invited to;
  • use Cubit for anything illegal.

If you see something that is not okay, tell a grown-up and contact us at hello@uma.games. We may remove content, or pause or close an account, if these rules are broken.

6. Playing with friends

Multiplayer worlds are invite-only. Only people you invite, by code or link, can join. Anyone in a shared world can change it, so only invite people you trust. Invite links expire after 24 hours.

7. Things you make

The worlds, characters, materials and furniture you create in Cubit are yours to enjoy. So that the game can work, you give us permission to store, display and copy them inside Cubit, for example to show them to friends you invite, or to make a copy when someone remixes a template you shared.

If you submit a template to us for featuring, you also let us show it to all Cubit players and use it to show what Cubit can do, for example in screenshots on our website. We will credit you by your Cubit username only.

8. Our stuff

Cubit, including its code, art, characters, sounds and name, belongs to us. You can enjoy it for your own personal, non-commercial play. Please do not copy, sell or reuse it without our permission.

9. Feedback

We love hearing from families. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Cubit without owing you anything.

10. Our responsibility to you

We provide the beta "as is". We do our best, but we cannot promise it will always work, be error-free or keep your creations safe.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. If you are a consumer, you also keep your legal rights under the laws of the country where you live.

Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for loss of data or creations during the beta.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Cubit grows. If the changes are important, we will tell you by email or in the game before they apply.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Ireland or elsewhere in the EU, you can also bring a claim in your home courts and keep the protections your local law gives you.
